It was too cold on Monday and Tuesday. But now the weather becomes a little better, at least the sun comes out to warm the freezing air. In fact, I had hardly ever dreamd that the temperature can be minus fourty-eight. However it really happened and scared me a lot.
However, I also feel very excited, 'cause the bad weather will have gone this sunday and next week, and there will be a good climate for the Chinese New year (on February 7, 2008).
Chinese New Year (also called Spring Festival) is the most important day for all the Chinese people, and it equals Christmas in the western countries. Usually, on the New Year eve, all the families will get together to greet their siblings and relatives. It is the happiest time for Chinese children, because at the party, almost every child can get the lucky money from his or her mother, father, grandparents, uncles, aunts even their aldut siblings or cousins. Of course, there is no tax from the luckly money. Isn' t it attractive?
But now, I really don't now if I can receive the lucky money this year. My father said that he would deposit my lucky money with my mother in the bank, when someday I go back to China, I can withdraw it. On the other hand, my mother told me that because this year I would not stay in China, so I could have no lucky monry. " Oh my God!"
No matter how is it going on, I'd say Happy New Year to all my friends!
